After much fanfare, long press conferences and even longer wait, the much touted world’s cheapest car was launched yesterday by Tata Motors. Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Motors was present at the ceremony and unveiled the car for the people. The car is truly designed for the masses and it makes one recall the Maruti 800 days.
Nano will come in six colours racing red, ivory white, summer blue, sunshine yellow, champagne gold and lunar silver. The base colour will have only three colours – racing red, ivory white and summer blue. The Nano CX model will be available in five colours racing red, ivory white, summer blue, champagne gold and lunar silver. The LX variant of Tata Nano will sport only three colours - sunshine yellow, champagne gold and lunar silver. The car comes with 18 month or 24,000 kms warranty whichever is earlier.
Tata Motors has decided to flaunt its cheapest car in the most royal fashion. Nano merchandise like Tata Nano phones, t-shirts and watches are available at the Chroma outlets, Nano website and the Westside. You can also buy Nano body kits and car audio systems especially made for Nano. While the Nano portal sports a free online game, Tata Indicom mobiles parade a Nano mobile game.
Tata Motors has made sure that the Nano euphoria is here to stay and last much longer.
