It is charged by a 6.2 litre, supercharged V8 engine, which can generate a jaw-dropping 640 bhp. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system. The CTS-V has the capacity to dash from ignition to 100 kilometres per hour in a matter of four seconds only. The top speed for this car has been recorded at 322 kilometres per hour, which is definitely quite an audacious number. Producing 640 bhp, the Cadillac CTS-V generates more power than both Mercedes E63 AMG as well as BMW M5.

As the reports have been released by Cadillac, the torque percentage is higher by a margin of 25 when compared to the standard model. The rear and front tracks have been widened by a fair margin. The CTS-V now weighs a total of 1880 kilograms. The car has been provided with a set of electronic limited-slip differential as well as adjustable magnetic dampers. The wheels are stopped by two-piece, 390 mm, front rotors with six-piston callipers, which sit behind the 19-inch alloy wheels. The brakes provide that optimum durability, decent consistency and outright capability for superior performance. The aerodynamics of the luxury has been immensely improved by the abundant usage on carbon fibre wherever possible. Apart from this factor, the usage of carbon fibre has also immensely reduced the weight, thus improving the power to weight ratio. The Cadillac CTS-V will be available in the global markets from the middle of 2015.
