      The all new TV commercial for Tata Nano

      In yet another attempt to promote the safety aspect of its small creation, Tata Motors has now came-out with a new video commercial of Tata Nano in India. The new video commercial of Nano carries a tagline, ‘Key to your happiness’.

      In this new ad, a small girl is shown as eagerly waiting for her father to drive home the Nano for the first time. Meanwhile, the Nano is shown zipping through narrow roads and rocky terrains. The wait finally gets over and now the girl can see the Nano from terrace of her home. The girl happily hugs the car after applying the kajal on it from her eyes so that the car can be saved from the evil eyes as a large number of people around her are staring at the brand new Nano.

      Through this new ad, the company has targeted the lower-middle-class families living in the small Indian towns.

      The new ad has been launched at a time when the Nano model is struggling with one of the worst ever sales figures in the Indian market. In November 2010, Tata Motors managed to sell mere 509 units of this car in the Indian market, reporting a massive 85 percent fall in the sales against the peak of 9,000 units sold in July this year.

      Before this, in a series of customer confidence building measures, the company of had offered free additional safety features to all existing Tata Nano customers along with extending the warranty on Nano to 4 years from earlier warranty of 2 years.

      Moreover, the company has also offered a special loan scheme to the Nano buyers, according to which the interested buyers will be able to get up to 90 percent finance on Nano within 48 hours. The finance will be offered by the company’s financial arm Tata Motors Finance on easy interest rates.
