The much awaited Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV was unveiled by the Italian car manufacturer. This new model has some new features including a unique appearance, a naturally aspirated V-12 powertrain and lower bodyweight as compared to the standard coupé. The lower body weight is mainly attributed to the utilisation of carbon fibre parts.

Lamborghini Aventador SV is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, which has been re-tuned and is likely to develop an output of 740 BHP. Other changes in the engine include new sports optimised valve timing and new system for variable intakes. The lowering of the weight and rise in power level has automatically increased the power:weight ratio of the car. New Lamborghini Aventador is expected to touch 100 kmph from scratch within a time frame of 2.8 seconds and the top speed of this car will be 350 kmph.

A change has been made to the seven-speed automated manual transmission system found in the standard Aventador. There are several carbon-fibre components in this car including engine bay cover, interior panels, air intakes, bucket sports seats and rear wing. The weight of the car has been further reduced by removal of carpets and insulation from several parts.

There is a new pushrod suspension system featuring magnetic fluid-filled adaptive dampers that help in lowering of pitch and body roll. Along with this, a new variable electromechanical steering system, known as the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering, has been added.

Rear wing of the Aventador SV features a manually adjustable system, which can be set to three different positions, thereby allowing an increase in downforce without a rise in the drags. Not only this, the rear wing improves the engine cooling while the large air intakes help in increasing downforce further.

In terms of interiors, the Italian manufacturer has made the use of an internally developed material called Carbon Skin – a woven carbon-fibre trim that is said to be extremely light. Aventador SV’s new instrument cluster features a TFT display screen capable of showing gear shift and g-force. This car is likely to go on sale in markets across the globe in late 2015.
