Sources report that the Tesla Model S has been prepped up extensively for the track show promised by the Electric GT championship series that’s set to get underway in 2017.
Tesla’s Model S P85 with 691bhp will do the duty for this race, and in this iteration gets a slew of track oriented improvements like a large rear wing, new aerodynamics, rear-wheel drive, bigger and wider tyres, and stripped interiors to lose the extra weight. Reports add that while the powertrain remains stock, the suspension and steering have been broadly reworked.
Sources also suggest that this race prepped Model S P85 which was developed for the new Electric GT championship race series, should be nothing less than invigorating to watch. Each race will be held at seven famous race tracks around the world, and while all the cars on the grid will be the Tesla Model S P85 initially, more EVs will eventually join the grid. Each race will have a 20 minute practice session, a 30 minute qualifying session, and two races that span the length of 60km.
