Technologically advanced Tesla Model 3 has caught the fancy of many across the globe. As the buzz around the Tesla Model 3 continues to build, Elon Musk, CEO, Tesla Motors has revealed on Twitter that the car will get a ‘Ludicrous’ driving mode. The company has not been giving out complete details as further changes are being made to make it better.
It is likely that the ‘Ludicrous’ driving mode will be offered as an optional upgrade in the upcoming Tesla Model 3. A similar driving mode in the Tesla Model S P 90D allows the car to do 0 to 97kmph in just about 2.8 seconds as compared to 3.1 seconds taken by the standard version. The ‘Ludicrous’ drive mode in the Tesla Model X P 90D helps it do a 0 to 97kmph in just about 3.2 seconds as compared to 3.8 seconds taken by the standard version.
The new Tesla Model 3 will be offered in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The vehicle is capable of clocking a 0 to 97kmph in just under six seconds and can cover a distance of 346km on a full charge. Tesla will begin deliveries for the Model 3 from the West Coast first, thereon progressing to the East Coast followed by Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The vehicle deliveries will begin sometime late next year, while an India launch may happen in 2018.
