Looking comfortable and affordable mode of transport has always been a priority for the working class. To cater to these needs, a Bengaluru based taxi and car rental services has kicked-off a new category service via Tata Nano Taxis. As of now, the company TaxiForSure has a fleet of about 100 Nano’s in Bengaluru alone and plans to expand into other cities in India sometime soon.
Speaking more on the occasion, Raghunandan G, Co-founder and CEO, TaxiForSure, said, “The aggressive growth that the taxi industry is seeing requires innovative ways to bring more cars onto the road. Tata Nano is a well-loved consumer brand that is perfectly suited for city travel with its small footprint and zippy commute. It is also light on the pockets of our driver partners, who can now become entrepreneurs much more easily. With a brand-new design, well-trained drivers and an intuitive app experience, our customers will be wowed with the Nano.”
The new Nano cars had been flagged-off in the presence of company co-founders namely - Raghunandan G and Aprameya R. The TaxiForSure has offered the Tata Nano cab service at about Rs. 25 for the first 2 km and shall charge around Rs. 10 per every kilometre ahead. Adding further, Raghunandan said, “When the price was Rs 200 for 10 km, we saw that people used our cab services only for longer distances, occasions or important meetings. So we decided to decrease the cost to Rs 49 for four kilometres. Also, on the supply side, because of greater utilisation, dry kilometres are reduced for a driver.”
