Tata has been at the forefront when it comes to electric vehicles. The brand already has two electric cars in its lineup – the Tigor EV and Nexon EV. Having said that, the carmaker recently released a short video teaser of an electric SUV and is setting the stage to unveil the model on 6 April, 2022.
Going by the teaser, the upcoming electric SUV appears to feature a revolutionary design language in Tata’s design philosophy. Additionally, the teaser shows bits of design elements of the electric SUV, especially the front end. The SUV gets an elongated light strip (parallel to the bonnet), slightly covering the front fenders. Even the front bumper features illuminated triangular-shaped sections.
Although Tata has not disclosed any details about the interior yet, the electric SUV should come with modern-day features, such as a fully digital driver display, a large infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and so forth.
Meanwhile, the brand has also been working on a long-range version of the Nexon EV. This extended range version will have a larger battery capacity (reportedly about 40kWh) and thus more range of about 400km. The SUV is expected to launch in the country.
