      Tata Zest has been in the news right from the time it has hit the markets. There have been a lot of discussions about the impact of this model in the market. Both the petrol as well as the diesel variants has been equally popular. This has also led to the comparison between the two variants of this compact sedan.

      The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre 16V Revotron engine, which is capable of powering the car to a maximum of 88.8 bhp at the rate of 5000 rpm. The torque output of the 1193 cc mill is 140 Nm at the rate of 1750-3000 rpm. On the other hand, the diesel model is powered by a 1.3-litre 16V Quadrajet mill, which musters 88.8 bhp at the rate of 4000 rpm. On the other hand, the torque output of the car is 200 Nm at the rate of 1750 to 3000 rpm. Both the variants come with a five speed manual gearbox with FWD option as general.

      When it comes to the interior features, both the variants come with all standard amenities and also the options to customise. Proper care has been taken to make the trip aboard this car comfortable as well. Both the models come with a fuel tank capacity of 44 litres. However, when it comes to mileage, the petrol model returns 13.2 kilometres per litre on city roads as well as 17.6 kilometres per litre on highways. On the other hand, the diesel variant is capable of returning 19.2 kilometres on cities and 23 kilometres for a litre on highways. The petrol Zest comes at a price of 6.3 lakhs INR while the Zest diesel is priced at 7.3 lakhs INR.
