Success seems to be following Tata Zest everywhere these days. The model, since its launch in the country, has performed exceptionally well and landed another achievement when it was named the best designed passenger vehicle award at a recently concluded 2014 CII Design Excellence Awards. These awards, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, take note of achievements throughout the country and have been going on since 2011. Many see these awards as a tool for increasing competitiveness in the country. Tata Zest was the overall winner among ten vehicles that were contesting in five categories.
Tata Zest seems to be turning things around for its manufacturer in the market and is raking up excellent numbers, which are increasing by each passing day. The compact sedan is directly competing with the legendary Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.
According to statistics, the compact sedan outsold the Honda Amaze in the month of October, something that is quite respectable. The waiting period of Tata Zest, however, has been on the rise and that is a sign of worry as the firm is struggling to cope up with demands. Sources claim that the officials are working towards changing this situation and would be taking an action soon.
