Tata Sierra has been awarded a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP crash test programme, reinforcing the brand’s strong safety credentials in the SUV space.
In terms of scores, the Sierra registered 31.14 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 44.73 out of 49 points for child occupant protection, securing top marks in both categories.
The tests were conducted on select variants, although the rating is applicable across the entire model range manufactured from March 2026 onwards.

The Sierra’s strong performance in crash tests can be attributed to its robust structural integrity and comprehensive safety package, which includes multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and advanced driver assistance systems. These elements play a key role in ensuring high levels of occupant protection during frontal and side impacts.
With this result, the Sierra joins a growing list of Tata models that have secured top safety ratings, further strengthening the company’s positioning as a safety-focused carmaker in India.
