Automobile sales in India continued its downward trend in the month of September with General motors and Tata Motors seeing the largest dip in numbers. While the sales of General motors dropped by 26.8 per cent, Tata too followed suit with 17.7 per cent decrease in its units. The dip in sales is largely accounted to the volatility in the fuel price, which has steeply increased this year.
