As Maruti Suzuki is making every possible effort to bring the haphazard production process at its Manesar plant, on the right track, it looks like for Tata Motors, the experience is the other side of the coin. Amid a creeping auto market trend prevailing in India, with sales being a matter of great concern, Tata Motors has been witnessing an increase in the demand for its products of late.

As a matter of fact, the home grown car maker has stepped up its production two fold, following a positive sales trend in Pune. Being unable to provide deliveries and frequent delays by Maruti Suzuki, have tend buyers to shift focus, and demand for Tata vehicles, the company that is in a sound state at present.

Tata Motors has under its belt, the production of number of diesel cars which have been in huge demand. Thus, the initial production has been ramped-up including that of the new Indica Vista hatchback variant. However, Tata Motors was floating in troubled waters some time back, as it  experienced decreased demand, owing to the aggressive pricing strategies and advanced features being offered by rival auto companies.

September sales faced a nosedive of 13.35%, and as a result, aggressive marketing strategies were taken into consideration, by the company, which seems to prove quite fruitful as Tata Vista has a waiting period of 2 months. The car from Tata has not experienced such a trend before this, during the year.

Debasis Ray, Spokesperson for Tata Motors clarified that the company's production ramp-up does coincide with the dismal situation faced by Maruti Suzuki, but the plans have not been driven by the Maruti's condition.
