On the other hand, loans on Tata Nano are expected to be dearer as lender feel that less effluent buyers would rush to buy the car and would carry a risky profile with them. It may be a risky proposition for the lenders and financing agencies.

Executive Director of Tata Motors said that the company has invested nearly Rs. 17,000 crores to manufacture world's cheapest car. The company shall focus on domestic demands for next two to three years and then would look at international and exports demands. It currently has a manufacturing capacity of 250,000 units that can be easily expanded up to a capacity of 350,000 units.
