      Tata Nexon Vs Honda WR-V - Spec comparison

      Honda’s popular selling cross-hatch, the WR-V has found its newest competitor, the newly launched Tata Nexon. The WR-V is available in two variants – S and the VX, while the Nexon is available in four variants - XE, XM, XT, and the XZ+. Both the cars are available in petrol as well as diesel engine options. Read on to find which one scores better points over the other.

      Speaking of features, the Nexon gets a 6.5-inch HD screen with a new user interface. The car also gets the 8-speakers Harman audio setup along with dual-tone dashboard in black and beige. The central console that surrounds the audio and climate control knobs gets an all-black finish. The AC vents are individually adjustable and it also gets the high mounted 12-volt charging port to add to the convenience in the rear seat. The Nexon also gets climate control, smart key, push-button start and multi-function steering wheel. Honda WR-V gets a Digipad touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof and magic-seats. The car also offers engine start/stop button and cruise control for that pleasant drive feel.

      Under the hood, the Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre inline four cylinder petrol engine that produces 108bhp of power and 170Nm of the torque while the diesel version gets a 1.5-litre engine which generates 108bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Both engines are offered only with a six-speed manual transmission and the AMT version might be introduced on a later date. The Honda WR-V petrol is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that generates 89bhp of power and 11Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1.5 liter i-DTEC engine that generates 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The petrol WR-V gets five-speed manual while the diesel is offered with a six-speed manual transmission.

      Tata Nexon price range starts at Rs 5.85 lakhs for petrol base and goes up all the to Rs 9.45 lakh for the top-spec diesel variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Honda WR-V petrol starts at Rs7.66 lakhs while the top-spec diesel is priced at 9.91 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Between the two, Tata’s Nexon has emerged as a strong player which offers all the practical features along with an attractive price tag.
