The compact SUV is powered by 1.2 Revotron turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of generating about 110 PS of power with 170 Nm of torque. The powerful engine has been mated to a five speed automatic transmission. The Indian car-maker also plans to bring-in the diesel variant once the car begins on a mass scale production stage.
On the exterior front the car features an aggressive stance, the car’s LED headlamps look bolder. The ground clearance is higher than any of the current SUV line from Tata. The double sliding door system looks impressive in the concept version. Moreover, the rear section features bucket seats which is the opposite of a conventional SUV. The new gun powdered silver wheel adds to the car's charismatic effect.
As per sources, the compact SUV is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of around 18 kmpl. Tata Motors have stated that Nexon compact SUV maybe rolled out from the production line sometime in 2015.
