Manoj Arora, Senior Manager at Tata Motors has made an official statement that advance bookings for Tata Nano will end from Aug-Sept 2010. "From this August or September, customers will be able to walk into our showroom and drive out in a Nano," he said. This will be possible as company’s new mother plant for Tata Nano is now fully functional and production is in full swing.
Cartrade had reported earlier (vide its news on Tata Nano ) that world’s cheapest car will be available for ready delivery before the end of this year. An official statement from Tata Motors comes only days after to bring joy to awaiting Nano customers.
Arora also stated that company has nearly fulfilled its commitment to deliver one lakh ‘price protected’ Nanos before the end of this year. Currently, it has delivered 35,000 Nano models and remaining will be soon delivered in next few months. He was speaking on the sidelines of Tata Nano Superdrive event where nine Nano models were flagged off from the Sanand plant to cover 15,000 kms across India covering 36 cities in 26 days.
