Tata Motors is ready to launch its two new passenger vehicles and one-ton pick up truck in South Africa. It showcased its latest models, Indica Vista and Sumo Grande, at the Johannesburg Auto Show. The range of Indica models is already available in South Africa and the new Indica Vista will join the product portfolio. Indica Vista will be available in the local showrooms along with Tata Sumo Grande in early 2009.
Apart from the two new models, the Johannesburg International Motor Show will also showcase other Tata passenger vehicles to the expected visitors. The show will be on till November 09 2008. Tata Motors is also showcasing its Tata Ace, pick up truck, locally known as “Bakkie” along with other commercial vehicles in the country.

South Africa continues to be a strategic market for us. The increasing range of Tata Motors passenger cars and commercial vehicles will further consolidate our strong presence in South Africa," said Shyamal Gupta, Chairman of Tata International and Director of Tata Sons, a holding company of the Tata Group.
