Tata Motors has recently made some changes to their website by removing some models. The Tata Safari Dicor has been pulled down from the website, hinting at the discontinuation of this model soon from the Indian market.
Dealers have confirmed that they have received only a limited number of new Dicors and are presently selling the available stock. Many dealers do not even have stock of the SUV and prospective buyers are being offered the Tata Safari Storme instead. So we can soon expect Tata to officially stop selling the Dicor in India.
It might be the lack of demand which prompted the car maker to stop production of the Tata Safari. Anyway, it looks like an outdated product compared to the new models that Tata has recently launched. And even if the Dicor is discontinued, Tata will continue selling the Safari Storme which received a makeover earlier. This will keep the 'Safari' moniker alive until Tata Motors introduces its replacement.
