Tata Motors, the home-grown automaker, is trying everything to revive its lost market share in the Indian car market. The company has already rolled out two all new cars in the Indian market - the Zest and the Bolt, and is planning to launch more vehicles in coming months.

Besides launching new cars, the manufacturer is, also, planning to launch an all-new performance brand in the Indian market. The exact details about the performance brand will be revealed only after an official announcement.

The company will display a performance version of the newly launched Bolt hatchback at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The sporty Bolt will be introduced under the new performance brand. Under the hood will be the same 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. While the standard variant produces 89bhp of power, the sporty variant is tuned to deliver higher power output which is rated at 120bhp. The company will install Fiat's C501 gearbox in the performance model, to help it handle more power and torque seamlessly.

To complement the powerful engine, the car will be equipped with a wide bodykit and newly designed 17-inch wheels. The car will also get reworked suspensions, and the wheelbase will be lowered down to offer sportier stance.

Not just Tata Motors, other carmakers including Fiat and Hyundai, too, are planning to launch their respective performance brands in the country.
