      Tata Motors lays strong sales force to ensure a successful launch of Bolt and Zest

      Tata is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a successful launch of Zest sedan and Bolt hatchback in India. The renowned Indian car-maker has been on an mass scale hiring mode to gain a strong network in terms of sales, service network and marketing. Along with dealers assistance, Tata Motors has stated to hire about 3,000 – 3,500 sales force in next six months. A potential candidate may be selected and evaluated post a psychometric and an aptitude test.

      Ankush Arora, senior vice-president and head, Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business Unit at Tata Motors, said, “It is a new phase for Tata Motors. We are putting a tremendous effort to make sure that every aspect of our business is in place ahead of these two major launches. We are attempting to re-haul the perception of Tata Motors brand.” With the launch of Zest and Bolt, Tata Motors expects to attain minimum monthly volumes of about 23,000 to 24,000 units, as against 13,000 to 14,000 units that is currently being sold.

      Boston Consulting Group, has been hired by Tata Motors to chalk-out the future product portfolio and device a market strategy. The cars boasts of Revotron petrol engine that delivers performance with just a push of a button - the driver gets to choose from the mode of cruising, economy, or sports mode. To explain the technology to the general masses, the company shall install Revotron labs across 100 showrooms in the country. Arora further added, “With the Revotron engine, we will reach out to a large petrol market, where the company had a limited presence. We will launch India's first affordable AMT (automated manual transmission) diesel car and cars will be equipped with advanced Harman system, which is next level of connectivity between cars and cell phone. I have to give reasons for consumers to look at our products. We are therefore packaging our cars with right content, appropriate pricing. I can talk about the quality and reliability, but will let products speak for themselves. And the third important thing is going after the consumer in a right way, which is what we have set out to do right now.”
