The country’s leading auto maker Tata Motors has unveiled 6 new commercial vehicles in the Indian market. While rolling-out 6 new models of trucks in India, the company has shown concerns over recent hike in diesel price.

Speaking to the reporters at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ravi Pisharody, Tata Motors executive director for commercial vehicles, said, "Transporters are very concerned; it is a large increase on a single day. But their ability to pass on the hike to their clients would depend on the market. If it remains the way it has been in the first half, it would be difficult."

With the launch of new commercial vehicles, the company has expanded the range of their popular Tata Prima range with the addition of two new engines with capacities of 380HP & 230HP.

He added that the company is expecting to register a surge of 15 to 20 percent in the sales of their commercial vehicle in the second half of this financial year over the units sold in the first half. However, there is expected a slight decline in the sales of MCVs and SCVs.
