Tata Motors, the country’s largest automobile manufacturer, seems to be enjoying ongoing Diwali festivities quite well, as the company introduced a special edition of the ‘World’s cheapest car’ - Tata Nano in the domestic auto market, with no excess price. The decision is said to be fuelled by the immense reception received by Maruti Suzuki's Alto 800 in the Indian entry-level small car segment.

The 2012 special edition Nano comes trimmed with several interesting new features along with Indian consumer friendly upgrades. According to Tata Motors, the special edition Nano has been incorporated with new modifications that had been devised after immense research and thoroughly evaluating consumer feedback.

The launch of a special edition of Tata Nano makes it the company's fifth new model or variant to be launched during the ongoing Diwali festival period. Tata Motors has already introduced new Indica eV2 hatchback, Manza Club Class midsized sedan, Safari Storme Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a new model of Aria LX crossover in the country, since mid October 2012.

The Tata Nano micro car was slowly feeling the heat due to an already intense and cut throat competition in the entry-level market, which is dominated by the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto, freshly launched Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark. With the launch of special edition Nano, the company could be giving just the perfect answer to its competitors' recent offerings, such as the brand new Alto 800 and facelifted Chevy Spark.

The special edition Tata Nano features brand new alloy wheels and eye catching decals on the outside. Coming to new interior attributes, the entry-level car comes with two glove boxes along with a really thoughtful music system compatible with MP3, USB and aux-in features. The most alluring part of the deal with new Tata Nano special edition is that it requires no excess payment as the company has not increased the pricing at all.
