      Tata Motors Group global wholesale for March 2014 stands at 95,668 units

      Global wholesale of Tata Motors in March 2014, stood at 95,668 units which includes sales of company’s British subsidiary, Jaguar and Land Rover. Accrued sales for financial year 2013-2014 were 10,09,776 units. Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle and Daewoo range sales stood at 39,248 units, on the other hand collective commercial vehicles wholesales for the FY 2013-2014 were 575,155 units.

      Passenger vehicles’ global wholesales (including all passenger vehicles) in March 2014, were 56,420 units, accrued passenger vehicles wholesales for fiscal year 2013-2014 stood at 575,155 units. Tata Motors’ Global wholesales for passenger vehicle segment in March 2014 were 13,109 units, however the cumulative global wholesales of passenger vehicle segment of Tata Motors stood at 145,294 units.

      British subsidiary of Tata Motors, Jaguar and Land Rover’s global wholesales for the month of March were 43,311 units. Accrued wholesales of Jaguar and Land Rover for FY 2013-2014 were 429,861 units. Brand wise break up of JRL is as follows-Jaguar wholesales for the month of March 2014 was 8,179 units; on the other hand accrued wholesales of Jaguar were 79,307 vehicles. Wholesales of Land Rover for March 2014 were 35,132 units, collective wholesales of Land Rover stood at 350,554 units.

      Tata Motors has planned a string of launches for the current calendar year, the company officially launched tweaked Tata Aria crossover in the country at a starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh. Company is also gearing up to launch two brand new products in the domestic market. Among the two new cars from the stables of Tata, one is the much talked about Zest compact sedan and other vehicle is Bolt hatchback. Both the vehicles debuted at the 12th Auto Expo held in India in February 2014. Speculations are also doing the rounds that Tata is developing a premium SUV with its British subsidiary JLR. The SUV is codenamed Q5 and is likely to rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner.
