      Tata Motors Group announces its global wholesales for February 2013

      The worldwide wholesales of Tata Motors for the month of February 2013 stood at 98,837 units, including the figures of Jaguar Land Rover. The total wholesales of the auto maker for the entire fiscal were recorded at 1,080,421 units. In commercial vehicle segment, the worldwide wholesales of Tata, Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range were 52,175 vehicles. Further, the cumulative wholesales in commercial vehicle segment for the entire fiscalstood at 535,109 units.

      In passenger vehicle segment, the worldwide wholesales figures of the auto group stood at 46,662 units, whereas its cumulativewholesales for the ongoing fiscal are 545,312 units. Coming to the global wholesales of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles, the figures reported at 11,177 units, whereas the cumulative wholesales during the entire fiscalstood at 215,932 units. The worldwide wholesales of Jaguar Land Rover reported at 35,485 units, whereas in February 2013, the wholesales of British auto maker, Jaguar, stood at 7,102 units with cumulative wholesales of 50,191 vehicles. During February 2013, the wholesales of Land Rover stood at 28,383 units, with cumulative wholesales of 279,189 vehicles. For Jaguar Land Rover, the cumulative wholesales during the ongoing financial year stood at 329,380 units.

      It must be noted that Tata Motors is titled as the country’s largest auto company with consolidated revenues of Rs. 1,65,654 crores during the fiscal 2012. With its associate divisions and completely owned companies, the auto maker has been performing its operations in the markets of Indonesia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand and UK. One of its iconic brands is Jaguar Land Rover, which happens to be a perfect blend of two iconic British auto brands. Reportedly, the auto maker has also maintained an industrial joint venture with Fiat in India.

      Presently, more than 7.5 million Tata vehicles are gliding over the Indian roads, which made the auto maker feel proud on its presence in the country. Moreover, Tata Motors is also known as leader in commercial vehicle market of the Indian auto sector and is counted among the top makers in passenger vehicle segment. The auto company is also known as fourth largest truck and bus maker in the world as its vehicles are marketed in a number of potential auto markets like Europe, Africa, Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and South America.
