      Tata Motors enters in South African auto market with the launch of new Tata Indigo Manza

      India's largest auto company, Tata Motors, has introduced its new generation model of Tata Indigo MANZA in South African auto market. Reportedly, the new model has been designed on a new platform, using an all-new body design and interiors. The model launched in South Africa has a bigger size that offers more space in the cabin and thus, its dimensions reached a length of 4.4 metre and 1.7 metre of width with a wheelbase of 2.52 metre.

      The company has offered its new model with a base price of ZAR 119,995 (around Rs. 7.93 lacs), while the top end model has a tag of ZAR 134,995 (close to Rs. 8.93 lacs). Expressing his sentiments on the launch ceremony, Head of International Business, Passenger Cars, Tata Motors, Johnny Oommen, quoted, “After seeing wide acceptance, across various countries, we are proud to offer the Tata Indigo Manza, a modern, contemporary sedan to the South African market. We hope to see it become the best-seller in this market as well.”

      The car has been precisely designed, which has optimum comforts for both driver and passengers. Features like right inclination rear seats, steering mounted audio controls, height adjustable driver’s seat, centre armrest, tilt adjustable steering wheel and two tone fabric colours enable the model deliver a warm feel. The centre console of the vehicle has a driver information system on top, which delivers information regarding the fuel consumption, temperature of the model and tyre pressure, among others.

      In order to maintain a soothing ambience within the interiors of Tata Manza's South African model, it has been equipped with a 2 DIN audio system, which is compatible with USB and Bluetooth via Blue5.

      Highlighting drive of the new model, the Tata Indigo Manza is assimilated with a Fiat Safire petrol engine, which churns out a peak power of 90 bhp. In order to balance the fuel economy and power delivery of the sedan, an electronically operated Intelligent Port Resizer function has been equipped within the Safire powertrain. In the initial stage, the model will be offered in only petrol guise, which will deliver an ARAI (India) certified fuel economy of 14.5 kmpl. Introduction of a diesel Quadrajet engine with Variable Geometry Turbocharger is also on the cards of the auto maker, which will be introduced in the region later.

      Besides a powerful engine, the new Tata Indigo Manza also holds a handful of safety features, including collapsible steering column, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), dual frontal airbags, engine immobilizer and central locking system, among others.

      Considering exterior appearance of the model, newly designed headlights enable the Tata Manza to deliver an aggressive look, which will help it to create dominance over the South African roads. Besides, features like 15-inch alloy wheels with big arches and rear monolithic angular shaped tail lights also provide the model an appealing and refreshed look. In order to lure a large number of buyers, the company has decided to offer five vibrant colour options with its new models.

      Tata Motors will also offer a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, 4 years / 100,000 km service plan and standard 3 year / unlimited km Roadside Assistance. The new model from Indian player will be marketed at all the 45 official dealerships of the company in South Africa.
