At the inaugural ceremony of Xenon Pick-up, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles) of Tata Motors, Ravi Pisharody, quoted, “The Pick-up segment is growing rapidly and we see this trend continuing. With the launch of the Tata Xenon Pick-up, we are strengthening our existing Pick-up portfolio. The vehicles have several best-in-class features, which are a strong proposition, and with our existing products like the Tata Super Ace, Tata RX Pick-up and the new Tata Xenon Pick-up range, we are well placed in the market to take on any challenges.”

Considering the technical backgrounds, the new model from Tata Motors has been offered with an option of either a 3.0 litre common rail or a 3.0 litre turbo direct-injection engine. Clocking a top speed of 120 kmph, the single cab model will belt out a maximum power of 72 bhp with a peak torque of 223 Nm, while the dual cab model will churn out 115 bhp with maximum torque of 300 Nm. Owing to the incorporation of cutting-edge technology, Xenon delivers an impressive mileage, which makes it a segment leading vehicle.

In order to win the trust of its customers, the company has offered the new vehicle with a warranty of 3 lac km or 3 years, whichever comes first, the fact that highlights Tata Motors' confidence regarding its product.

Apart from the performance oriented features, the new model from the stables of Tata Motors features some of the industry leading features, which happens to be the main USP of the vehicle. Advancements like HVAC, power windows, seats with lumber support, central locking, high-end cab trims are incorporated within the Xenon as a part of standard accessories. Additionally, the dual cab version holds limited slip differential feature, which maintains the control of vehicle on slippery or muddy surfaces, making it a perfect option for off-track usage. Reportedly, Xenon Pick-up is specially designed to meet the requirements of both cargo as well as crew movement, accompanied by safety and convenience.

In order to make the transit safe, the company has also incorporated a handful of safety features within its new model, remaining parallel with the global safety standards. Features like crumple zones, unique 3-layered body construction, collapsible steering column, retractable seatbelts and side intrusion beams are equipped within the new model, which assures the safety of passengers at the time of side collision.

In a view of luring a large number of buyers, the company has offered its new vehicle in four vibrant colour options, namely Arizona Blue, Mineral Red, Arctic Silver and Arctic White. With a price tag of Rs. 5.44 lacs for single cab model and Rs. 6.34 lacs for the dual cab version,(all prices are ex-showroom, Thane), Xenon pick-up seems to be a good deal from Tata Motors.
