      Tata Motors announces 'Safari Storme Biggest Fan' contest on Facebook

      Tata Motors, the country's largest automobile manufacturer, has declared search for new fan contest on the social networking site Facebook called 'Safari Storme Biggest Fan', which is aimed at engaging admirers of the company's latest Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The rules of participation are pretty simple as one need to just log on to their Facebook account and visit the Tata Safari Storme's official fan page. Further, the interested participant must hit ENTER and write a small caption for the Safari Storme photograph and then type an epic story about the Tata SUV.

      The winners will be chosen on the basis of leader board positions and overall likeability of their entries. Three lucky winners will get a chance to experience sheer driving class of the new Safari Storme SUV, at the Tata Motors Full Throttle Kutch Experience, which is scheduled to be held on January 24, 2013. Reportedly, 10 lucky winners will take home exclusive Safari Storme merchandise, based on their caption and story write up.

      The Safari Storme was recently launched in the Indian auto market by Tata Motors in second half of October 17, 2012. The Tata SUV is offered to domestic car enthusiasts with an introductory retail cost of Rs. 9.95 lakhs and competes directly against the segment leader Mahindra XUV500 in the country.

      Coming to under-the-hood specifications, Safari Storme SUV comes assimilated with the renowned 2.2 litre VariCOR powertrain laced with Variable Turbine Technology. The engine powering the 'Refined Beast' churns out a peak power output of 140 bhp and maximum torque delivery of 320 Nm. Further, Tata Safari Storme also delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of close to 14 kmpl.

      Considering the sales figures witnessed by Tata Motors during the months of October and November have not been overtly impressive, besides the freshly launched Safari Storme failed to capture the imagination of local audience. Prior to the SUV's introduction in Indian auto market, Tata Motors sold just 1,015 units of its Safari range between August and September months of 2012. Further, the company has recorded sales of 1,028 units of Safari Storme SUV during the October and November months of the ongoing year.
