      Tata Motors announces association with Indian version of 24 TV series

      Tata Motors, one of the most popular car makers in India, is making foray into the entertainment industry. After successfully associating with the recently concluded 14th International (North) Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, the auto manufacturer is going to sponsor an upcoming TV series named 24. Making an official announcement, Tata Motors confirmed its status as the presenting sponsor for 24, a TV series that will be broadcasted on Colors, one of the leading Hindi General Entertainment Channels. This show is expected to do really well and gain good Television Rating Points (TRPs) as it stars popular Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor.

      This series is going be an Indian adaptation of the highly rated American show, which runs by the same name. The show will see Anil Kapoor playing the protagonist, who will be driving vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors, sources claim. A thriller based on espionage, 24 has been loved worldwide by both audience and critics, enabling it to get an Internet Movie Database (IMDb) rating of 8.4 out of 10. Suspense and thriller shows involving investigations and spies have a tendency of doing well in India. 24, in particular, has a distinguished real time concept, amazing sets, masterful editing and high-definition recording, which is likely to make an impact on Indian audiences.

      Critics have appreciated 24 for its cutting edge screenplay, great performances and edge-of-the seat twists. The international show stars actor Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the role of Jack Bauer, an agent from Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), Carlos Bernad, Elisha Cuthbert and Mary Lyn Rajskub. Till date, eight seasons of 24 have been broadcasted, comprising a total of 192 episodes. 24, in each epsiode, traces the happenings in the life of Jack Bauer, the protagonist. The USP of this series is its real-time storytelling concept, which has helped it to win awards like Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Award. The Indian version of 24 will see actor Anil Kapoor essaying the role of Jack Bauer.
