      Tata Motors aggressive on Zest and Bolt launch

      Ahead of its upcoming launches slated for this year, Tata Motors has started is likely to be roll out Zest compact sedan in India during first week of July and Bolt hatchback could witness a festive season launch. Tata Motors seems to leave no stone unturned to promote its new cars, the company rolled out a contest ‘Zest for Stardom’ in association with IIFA awards, which gave winner of the contest a chance to share space on stage with actor Ranveer Singh. Besides this, the company is also working meticulously towards revivifying its thick network of 200 dealerships spread in India before the launch of Zest and Bolt. The company will hire around 3,000 new personnel at their dealerships and will train them rigorously.

      Tata Motors has been witnessing slump in sales for last couple of months, the company’s global wholesales declined 7.65 per cent in the month of April 2014. Though, global wholesales of its British subsidiary, JLR grew 39 per cent in April. The primary reason behind the low sales of Tata Motors could be its conventional vehicle range offered in domestic market. Hence this is the right time for the company to bring in new vehicles which could help rev up sales volume in India and also lead to surge in demand in overseas markets. What makes these two cars the most anticipated vehicles from Tata Motors is the presence of AMT gearbox. The popular AMT gearbox is currently being offered in India in Maruti Celerio hatchback only.

      Trending demand for AMT tranny has raised hope among Tata Motors that AMT variants of Zest and Bolt will specifically garner more popularity. Auto makers in India like Ford, Honda and Nissan are reporting hike in monthly sales on the back of their new vehicles. Conceived on the new design semantics, both the vehicles could prove to be a game changer for the company. Along with witnessing surge in sales, these new vehicles will also help the home grown auto maker to shed its image of a conventional car maker and transform into a contemporary auto cos.
