The Tata Kite hatchback which is likely to be named Tiago has been spotted again, with white and black camouflage, ahead of its debut in December 2015. This time the clearer interior images of the hatchback have also surfaced. Going by the spyshots, one can easily notice the Bolt and Zest-inspired cabin layout and steering wheel. Though, the dashboard gets an all-new design. The top-of-the-line variant is likely to be loaded with features such as steering mounted audio and telephony controls, a Harman infotainment system with a touchscreen display, dual front airbags, height-adjustable driver seat and ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution).

On the exterior, the hatchback will get a honeycomb grille with halogen headlamps, roofline with all-new design, 14-inch alloy wheels and turn indicators on mirror caps. The engine options on offer could be a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron petrol and a 1.05-litre, three-cylinder DICOR diesel that churn out a maximum power of 75bhp with 120Nm of torque, and  64bhp with 142Nm respectively. Transmitting power to the wheels will be a five-speed manual transmission. According to reports, a five-speed AMT and a Bosh e-clutch system might also be equipped on the hatchback.

The Tata Kite that will come as a replacement for the aging Indica eV2, will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai i10. The vehicle is scheduled to be unveiled in the first week of December 2015, while the launch might happen by early 2016. The company has already started the production of the hatchback at its Gujarat plant.
