Indian Automotive biggie Tata Motors created a storm in the sedan segment with the launch of Zest sedan this year. The car-maker had initially stated its plans to launch its much awaited Bolt hatchback this year, but later has stated its plans to launch the hatchback sometime early in 2015. This move as stated by sources is primarily done to prevent both the vehicle overshadowing each other, which may result in sales dipping for one drastically. As per recent updates from sources the Bolt hatchback might as well receive the AMT technology that has been doing well with the Zest sedan. As Celerio from Maruti Suzuki was the only one to get this technology, the Bolt hatchback with AMT shall provide the Indian buyers with an additional option.

Recently, spy shots had emerged all over the Internet stating the possibility of an orange colored dashboard being used in the vehicle. For now, it is said that the AMT technology may only be used in the diesel version, whereas petrol version may receive it sometime later. The upcoming Tata Bolt shall be powered by 1.2 MPFI petrol engine. The newly developed Revotron engine generates max power output of about 83 bhp at 5000 rpm with 140 Nm of torque output at 1750 - 3500 rpm. The vehicle is reportedly developed on the new DESIGNEXT philosophy that renders it a stylish new appeal.

The interior is loaded with smart high end features like HARMAN five-inch infotainment system that works performs well as a GPS system and audio acoustics system. The location based system has been developed by MapMyIndia. For enhanced interior appeal the vehicle may get color coded upholstery that renders it an upmarket feel. Functions of ABS, EPAS, speed sensitive power steering and Active Return function in the upcoming Bolt ranks it higher on safety parameter.
