      Tata Aria Launched in India with Actual Images

      TataMotors has launched its new crossover vehicles Tata Aria in India. The model was initially showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo' >Delhi Auto Expo{C} 2010 earlier this year. Tata claims that the vehicle is the first of its kind where it serves the purpose of an SUV as well as an MUV. The model is available in three variants with high end model Tata Aria Pride tagged at a price tag of Rs. 15.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). "We have priced the Aria Pride at Rs 15.5-lakh and Rs 15.85-lakh for Delhi and Mumbai, respectively," Tata Motors' Managing Director for India operations, P M Telang said.

      The mid-variant Tata Aria Presitge is priced at Rs. 14.5 lakh and the base model Tata Pleasure costs Rs. 12.91 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). The Aria will be rolled-out from Tata Motors' Pune plant and the company claims that it is the first cross-over in the country with a four-wheel drive system. "The car has been designed to be in line with European standards and meets the Euro V emission norms," said Tata Motors Managing Director for India operations P M Telang. "By next year, we will come up with a left-hand drive version of the vehicle (for exports),” he said.

      Tata Aria will be soon sold at 69 dealers in 25 cities of India. It will also be exported to the Europe and Latin America soon.
