Tata motors has been giving fresh upgrades for its entry level commercial vehicle named Ace Zip. The vehicle is likely to receive additional features like additional power and load capacity that makes it a good deal for buyer. Apart from introducing new fuel option like CNG, the company also plans on introducing additional technological upgrades like hub reduction and higher ground clearance. The company is also planning on launching a electric version of the vehicle sometime soon.
Speaking more on the occasion, Sandeep Kumar, Head – Sales & Marketing (SCVs), Tata Motors said to sources, “We offered highest power and torque in our SCV that this segment of customers had never seen in the past. Through the proposed hub reduction plan, we want to improve the torque at the wheel without changing any other aggregate. It is a technology which will be unique and tried for the first time on a SCV in the world. Hub reduction in big trucks is a common concept. In SCV, however, it is something new, and it will be done first time by us.”
speaking more about the vehicle, Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director – Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors, said, “Priced about Rs. 1.5 lakh higher than three-wheeled goods vehicle, Ace Zip offers far superior performance, and is an employment-generating vehicle in rural areas.” Based on reports from sources, the new trim is likely to receive a longer body. The new trim is likely to be offered sometime in the second half of this year.
