Just imagining riding a bicycle at speeds of about 100 km/hr may give you goosebumps. A Swiss rider named François Gissy, who works for Exotic Thermo Engineering, a Swiss company has done the unthinkable. On November 7th, François Gissy rode atop a custom made bike that rocket propelled at speeds in excess of of 333 Km/hr (207 Mph) in just about 4.8 seconds. The event was filmed on camera in Paul Ricard circuit located in Marseille, France.
The rocket propelled bike ridden by François Gissy covered a quarter mile distance in less than 7 seconds. In some instances the bike was also raced against a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and beat it within fractions at the start point. In the video Gissy can be seen going from 0 to 207mph in just about five seconds after taking a start from the staring point. The bike used for this marvelous feat is reportedly developed by Exotic Thermal Engineering.
