Suzuki India seems all prepared to introduce a reworked version of its bestseller model Gixxer in April 2015. Although nothing is confirmed from the company officials, experts revealed that there are few modifications in terms of design. It is learnt that the new model looks somewhat similar to the naked model of Gixxer.
It is believed that the new Gixxer will be placed above the naked version. The technical configuration of the new model is also expected to be same as the naked Gixxer. This means that the new avatar of Gixxer will feature the same 154 cc four-stroke single cylinder engine, belting out a maximum power of 14 bhp with a highest torque of 14 Nm. Sources anticipate that the new Gixxer will carry a price tag of around Rs. 85000, and thus will compete against Honda CBR150R and Yamaha FZ.
It is worth noting that Gixxer has accredited numerous awards and thus, happens to also be known as the most successful motorcycle from Suzuki till date. Titles like ET ZigWheels Bike of the Year and ET ZigWheels Executive Bike of the Year are already there in the award bag for Gixxer.
