Suzuki Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. exhibited 23 per cent growth in sales figures in January 2012 over the same period last year. The Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, a prominent name in the international two wheeler industry, registered a respectable increase in sales. While it had rolled out 28598 units in January 2011, it had been successful in selling a total of 35099 vehicles in the first month of this year. This growth is in line with the manufacturer's steady growth pattern shown by the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer in the domestic market in the past two years.

On the increase in sales, Atul Gupta, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, SMIPL, commented, “The Year 2012 has started well with a good response from the market for all our products. The growing customer satisfaction has led to a positive word-of-mouth in the market. January 2012 was also very significant as we launched our mass market motorcycle, the Hayate, while the Swish 125 is an addition to the bestselling scooter Access 125. We will continue to give best to our customers.”
