Suzuki, the Japanese manufacturer is renowned world-over for launching special edition bikes of its existing models. The first entrant in this category was the GSX-R600, which was provided with the Tyco Suzuki replica. It was followed by the Yoshimura GSX-R750 edition. It is time for some special edition stuff once again for this premium bike manufacturer. The Japanese brand has announced that it will launch a limited edition of the famous GSX-R1000 World Superbike replica. The production unit has confirmed that the model will be named Voltcom Crescent Edition and is set to have only 25 pieces in the pipeline.

These GSX-R1000 models are generally ridden by Eugene Laverty and Alex Lawes in the World Superbike Championship. The Limited Edition models will also be provided with a GB Racing engine covers, a single seat cowl signed by both the riders and a Yoshimura R77 exhaust. It is almost obvious that the bikes have a sturdy and outright exotic appearance. WBSK bikes generally are close to a racers heart and these bikes are essentially stripped down versions of the stock models with slight changes here and there.

The machine is powered by a 999 cc engine, which is capable of producing 180 bhp and thumping a torque if 113 Nm. At a high rpm, this bike is just like any other superbike in this category. It has a kerb weight of 205 kilograms. The bike is renowned for its mean power output, highly dexterous ergonomics and docile appearance. However, Indians might feel a bit upset as it is not being imported to the country and only reserved for Americans and Europeans.
