Japanese car major Suzuki is present at the 44th Tokyo Motor with the theme of ‘SUZUKI NEXT 100’ which basically celebrates the brand’s completion of 100 years that will happen in 2020. There are various products displayed at the stall including multiple cars and motorcycles but one product which attracted everyone’s attention is the Suzuki Ignis.

Developed as iM4, the Suzuki Ignis marks a new segment of cars for the brand. It is a compact car made to challenge the conventional lines and offer a leisure experience at an entry level point. The stands true as one looks at the overall design. The front of the Suzuki Ignis gets ultra stylish headlights with daytime running lamps and projectors. It gets a curvy bonnet line with a chrome edge. Even the single slat grille gets a glossy finish. The front bumper, though looks simple, has interesting profiles on it to house the fog lamps and air mesh.

The upcoming Suzuki Ignis measures 3700mm in length and has a width of 1660mm along with a height of 1595mm. Design wise it looks quirky with its taller ground clearance, sporty alloys and flared wheel arches. The odd bit its rear styling also happens to be its unique style with lots of straight sections.

Just underneath the large rear windshield are the unconventionally styled rear tail lamps which look similar to that on Nissan Terrano. Additionally, there are bright roof rails, chrome door handles and a compact rear tail door. The Suzuki Ignis does not sit in the normally styled hatchbacks in India and when launched will have its distinct identity
