Suzuki, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, might reduce the price of the Hayabusa superbike by Rs.5 lakh, since the company is planning to begin its CKD (Completely Knocked Down) operations soon in India. The regular model and Z Edition of the bike are currently available at Rs. 15.95 lakh and Rs. 16.20 respectively.

Both the variants will get Rs. 5 lakh cheaper than they are now, which means the bike will be available with a starting price of Rs. 11 lakh (approx.). Always been known for its outstanding power, speed and ride quality, the Hayabusa is one of the most desirable superbikes among motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

Powering the Hayabusa is a 1340cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC petrol engine, which is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 186.5PS with 146Nm. Wearing the projector headlight, pilot lamps, LED tail tights, body graphics and trapezoidal design, the bike looks very bold and aggressive. It is assembled with 120/70ZR17M/C and 190/50ZR17M/C tyres on front and rear wheels.

Aiming to take on its international competitors in sub-continent, Suzuki Motorcycle India is also planning to assemble several other superbikes at local level. This will help the company to withstand against its close rivals such as Benelli, Kawasaki and Trimph, who have already began their CKD operations in the country.
