Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. had recently launched the Gixxer motorcycle in the domestic market. Post launch the bike has indeed been giving the other motorcyles in the 150cc segment a tough time. In a recent interview conducted by bsmotoring, Mr Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Suzuki said that the Gixxer motorcycles has indeed been selling about 10,000 units per month.
The recently launched Suzuki Gixxer is powered by 154.9 cc engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox that is capable of generating about 14.8PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at about 6,000 rpm. Recently, the bike has also been awarded the coveted title of Bike of the Year by Autocar India and Bloomberg TV. The stylish design indeed makes it a stylish option in the hotselling 150 cc segment in India. The Suzuki Gixxer is offered at an on-road price tag of about Rs. 83,473 (On-Road Delhi).
