It seems that Suzuki has struck gold with its Celerio, the premium hatchback. This car, which has been marketed by Maruti Suzuki in India, has made quite a mark in the Indian automobile sector. After pulling off an impressive display in the Indian market, the car will be up for sale in the United Kingdom from the month of February in 2015. Be it for the vigilant government rules or the more technologically-sound customers, Celerio in the UK will come with six airbags. The positions for these airbags are driver, passenger, sides and curtain. Apart from six airbags, the Celerio will also offer ESP as a stock option, which might be good enough for the standard safety for the drivers in the United Kingdom.

Suzuki Celerio made its debut in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show, whereas in India, it was initially unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2014. The exterior dimensions of the Indian-specified and the European model are the same. The overall length of the car has been measured at 3600 mm while the width has been calculated to be 1600 mm. On the other hand, the height of the car has slightly been decreased by 30 mm and now measures 1530 mm. The wheelbase of both the car remains the same at 2425 mm. What sets the Celerio apart is the segment-leading boot space of 254 litres, which allow both commuters and travellers to revel in this model from Suzuki.

Apart from the six airbags and ESP, features like allow wheels, CD tuner, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, DAB Radio and USB facility have been provided in the Celerio. The company is also planning to launch Celerio Auto Gear Shift (AGS) model in the summer season, which is similar to the Celerio AMT model available in India. The AGS gearbox is slightly different in a way that it employs an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator, which is positioned at the beginning of the transmission. This Intelligent Shift Control Actuator allows the operation of gears and clutch automatically. Suzuki Celerio has been a clear winner in the Indian automobile circuit and expects to do the same after its launch in the United Kingdom, as well.
