Popular bike-maker Suzuki came in with a pleasant surprise by launching the GW 250 earlier this year. Post launch, the GW 250 priced about Rs. 3.10 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) failed to generate good sales numbers, primarily due to overpricing. In an attempt to revive lost sales, Suzuki has announced a price cut of about Rs. 1 Lakh on the GW 250, thereby bringing down the price to about Rs. 2,09,369 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Suzuki Inazuma GW 250 is powered by a 248cc, liquid-cooled, four stroke, twin-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of about 24PS at 8500rpm and 22Nm of torque at about 6500rpm. The powerful engine has been mated to six speed gearbox. The bike was expected to compete against the likes of Honda CBR 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and KTM Duke 200.
The decision in price cut shall not just benefit the new buyers, but shall also benefit those who have purchased it earlier this year. Suzuki has also stated that it shall compensate the difference in price for those who have already purchased it.
