Rolls-Royce, the well-known British luxury auto maker owned by BMW, is planning to showcase its Phantom Series II model in the Indian market on September 21, 2012. The model is known to be a technological marvel, perfectly blended with state-of-the-art comforts and luxuries. The new model from the stables of Rolls-Royce is an impression of the company's contemporary designing language, which will once again redefine the standards of luxuries and technological advancements in the auto industry.

The model will mark its presence in Mumbai in the honourable presence of General Manager of Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Herfried Hasenoehrl with Sharad Kachalia, Director, Sales and Marketing of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Mumbai.

The ideology followed by Sir Henry Royce while designing the cars states that “Take the best that exists and make it better.” And thus, the cars offered by the company are an epitome of luxury and are equipped with cutting-edge technology. The model which will be introduced in India will house new LED head lamps, which will add to the appealing nature of the model. Although the Phantom Series does not require any modifications, some of the favourable alterations have been made in the model in order to make it look refreshed.

It is believed that the model will house a naturally aspirated 6.75 litre V12 engine, which will have the potential to belt out a maximum power of 453 bhp, accompanied by a decent torque. With a performance oriented engine, the model will smoothly glide to 96 kmph from initial within a short span of 5.7 seconds. Interestingly, the model will be assimilated with a new 8-speed automatic ZF transmission system, which will help the engine deliver an improved fuel economy by 10 per cent. The engine featured in the Phantom Series II model is believed to be counted among the company's finest inventions in its glorious history.

Front fascia of the model has a new grille, made using single piece of stainless steel, unlike the one made from three stainless steel pieces, which was incorporated in Phantom's older models. The bumpers of Phantom Series II have also been refreshed, adding to its overall character. Considering its interiors, the model is expected to feature few changes, which are believed to be made as an India-specific model. The alterations include a reworked dashboard with new accessories, a bigger LCD display with Multi-Information Display (MID) and the iDrive system of BMW, among others. The inner cabin of Phantom Series II is brilliantly designed by a mixture of chrome, wood and leather, which is sure to lure the hearts of Indian buyers.
