Carbon roof Subaru Impreza will be revealed at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Show. The new high performance super hatchback model is definitely lighter than its predecessors and has been fit with five speed automatic transmission. According to Subaru, the new Impreza Carbon offers "distinctive driving pleasure to a wider range of customers." The special edition model's interior has been dressed in a suede fabric that covers most parts of the cabin including the dashboard top and the Recaro bucket seats. The new Subaru Impreza WRX STI A-Line Carbon is expected to go on sale in Japan sometime after the show.

On the other hand, Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept is yet another model that will be unveiled at the Show. It has striking gull-wing doors, while it has been designed to be as aerodynamic as possible with a bright, airy interior. This hybrid model showcases 4WD and will be powered by 2.0-litre horizontally opposed direct injection turbocharged petrol engine and two electric motors – a 10kw one at the front, and a 20kw one at the rear. It will use lithium ion batteries for electric power. The electric motor offers support to the petrol engine under acceleration for increased performance. The Start-Stop function further helps in fuel efficiency.
