      Walk around the Ssangyong stall at the 2016 Auto Expo and you would find it hard to miss the Tivoli. Internationally, the compact SUV has garnished much attention and fame. This time around though the vehicle has only been showcased, it is likely that the company may soon plan on introducing the vehicle soon in the Indian market. The company claims to have used 70 percent of high tensile strength steel for the development of this impressive machine that is not just lighter in weight but also offers much rigidity.

      Tivoli Side

      Under the hood, the SsangYong Tivoli is expected to be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. Internationally, it comes with a 1.6-litre engine in petrol that generates about 124bhp of power and 157Nm of torque, while the diesel 1.6-litre generates about 113bhp and 300Nm of torque. In terms of dimensions, the compact SUV measures 1795mm in width, 4195mm in length and wheelbase that measures 2600mm.

      Tivoli Front

      In terms of design the Tivoli from SsangYong borrows some style cues from the XIV Adventure concept. The compact SUV comes loaded with stylish LED DRLs, LED taillamps and alloy wheels. As for safety, it may be offered with ESP, ABS, seven airbags and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (TPMS). It is also anticipated that the Tivoli may be offered with an AISIN single clutch automatic transmission apart from the standard 6-speed manual transmission.

      Tivoli Rear

      Inside, the SsangYong Tivoli offers three interior color options – Beige, Red and Black. The steering gets a smart steering function that offers 3 modes namely Comfort, Normal and Sport. Moreover, the company has also offered 3.5-inch touchscreen display along with features like automatic climate control and sei-bucket seats. In terms of competition, the Tivoli emerges as a very strong competitors against the likes of Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport in the country. Though it could command a slightly higher price than the rest, its style, power and features could possibly make it a hotseller.
