Ssangyong might launch the Tivoli with a 1.5-litre diesel engine this year. As per the report, the Tivoli will be launched in India either 2016 or maybe 2017. The Tivoli will get a 1.5-litre diesel engine as this will help Ssangyong to reduce the excise and at the same time more affordable. Mahindra and Ssangyong both have the rights to use the 1.5-litre diesel engine that has been jointly developed.
The Ssangyong Tivoli is a compact SUV with five seats. This SUV will be competing with the Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta. The Tivoli will have a petrol engine and even come with a diesel engine as well. This engine will come with options of six-speed manual and even AISIN automatic transmission as well. The Tivoli will be priced at Rs 11.5 lakhs to Rs 15.5 lakhs (ex-showroom pricing). The Tivoli will be offered with front-wheel drive and even AWD option. This will make it the second option to be made available with AWD after the Renault Duster and also for diesel automatic as well.
The features list on the Ssangyong Tivoli are daytime running LEDs, leather seats, keyless entry, push start and stop, in-dash touchscreen system with satellite navigation, reverse parking camera then there is cruise control, sunroof and even automatic headlamps.
