Skoda Yeti facelift is on brink of launching in India, the premium crossover has received a couple of soft cosmetic changes and various additional features classing up the cabin. Mechanically, the vehicle remains the same, hence there is no change on that front. Slated for September 10th launch, Yeti facelift will only be rolled out in high-end elegance option offered in front wheel drive and all wheel drive versions.
External cosmetic changes include newly designed bumpers in the front and rear, bi-xenon head lights, LED tail lights, redesigned alloy wheels, new housings for the wing mirrors and various colour options for the roof. Cabin gets minimal tweaks in the form of a new steering wheel borrowed from Skoda’s popular saloon Octavia. Additional features inside the cabin comprise of additions include keyless entry, climate control, leather-wrapped seats and steering, electrically-foldable wing mirrors and an eight-speaker audio system. Safety equipments such as Anti Lock Braking system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, brake assist, tyre pressure monitors, ESP and hill-hold.
Under the hood will be the same 2.0 litre TDI engine retained from the previous version. The diesel powertrain will be offered in two states of tune, the 108.5 Bhp version will be housed in the front-wheel drive variant and the 138 Bhp version will be packed inside the all-wheel drive variant. Power will be transmitted to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission in the all-wheel drive version. On the other hand front-wheel drive version gets a five-speed manual gearbox, channelizing power to the front wheels.
