Skoda Yeti is all geared-up to be launched in its all new avatar. The Czech car-maker, also plans to showcase the face-lifted versions of Superb and Rapid sedans in the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo event. The Skoda Yeti with a face-lift shall remain more or less similar to the one that was showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show.
Yeti, the compact SUV from Skoda is expected to be powered by 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder TDI engine, whereas the top line variant maybe powered by 2.0 litre TDI engine. Both the engines have been refined to deliver an impressive performance. The 1.6 litre has been tuned to churn out power output at 103 bhp, whereas the 2.0 generates about 168 bhp. The car maybe available in 4x2 version maybe mated with five speed gearbox, whereas the 4x4 version maybe mated to a six speed gearbox.
Skoda Yeti has received cosmetic upgrades this time around, whereas major technical changes are not expected. The front fascia of the car has received a new grill and the compact SUV features body colored bumpers. Moreover, the side protective moldings and rear panels, gives the car a sportier and fitter look. The 4x4 version of Yeti comes with an additional change like black plastic moldings, these are meant to give the car a bigger and bolder look.
On the interiors, Skoda Yeti looks fresher in comparison to its previous counterparts. Seat fabrics have undergone changes and it has been redesigned for superior comfort. Steering wheel has also been redesigned and the dashboard is adorned with decorative trim pieces to enhance the driving space.
The Czech car-maker believes that the Auto Expo event shall provide with a right platform to showcase the face-lifted version of Skoda Yeti. As for the event, it is said that as many as 75 passenger cars, utility vehicles, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles are scheduled for showcase next month. This numbers have taken a considerable jump from the 47 vehicles that were showcased and launched during the 2013 Auto Expo event. The upcoming event is considered to be the largest auto show in any subcontinent. It is said that 47 companies shall participate in this year's Auto expo event. To simplify things to a layman, it’s around 23 makers of passenger cars and utility vehicles, 14 of two-wheeler makers, 10 of commercial vehicle makers, and 6 of electric vehicle makers shall be a part of the 12th Auto Expo event.
