      Skoda rolls-out four new variants of Fabia hatchback

      Skoda Auto India, a subsidiary of the Czech Republic based Skoda Auto, launched four new variants of its premium hatchback Skoda Fabia in the Indian auto market on Friday. The new variants of the Fabia include Active, Ambition, Active Plus and Ambition Plus. All four variants will be available in both petrol and diesel versions in the Indian auto market.

      According to a statement given by the company in the press release issued on the occasion, "The new variants are based on market and customer feedback and are aimed at providing an enhanced value experience."

      While the Fabia Active and Fabia Ambition are base variants, the Active Plus and Ambition plus are the packaged versions of the same variants. Both petrol and diesel variants of the car carry the same engine units, which were available in the previous variants.

      The price of these new variants are as follows: - Active (1.2 litre) at Rs 4.39 lakh; Active Plus (1.2 L) at Rs 4.59 lakh; Ambition (1.2 L) at Rs 4.85 lakh, the Ambition Plus (1.2 L) at Rs 4.99 lakh; Active Diesel (1.2 L) at Rs 5.46 lakh; Active Plus Diesel (1.2 L) at Rs 5.66 lakh; Ambition Diesel(1.2 L) at Rs 5.94 lakh; and the Ambition Plus Diesel at (1.2 L) Rs 6.08 lakh.
